INVITE-ONLY EXECUTIVE ROUNDTABLE
Beyond the Enterprise Pilot: Building the Foundations for Agentic AI
The policies, processes and information foundations behind successful AI programs, and what it takes to deliver trusted autonomy without exposing the business
📅 Tuesday, 10 November 2026
⏰ 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM
📍 Bambini Trust Wine Room, 185 Elizabeth St, Sydney
Most Australian organisations now have AI in production. Far fewer are confident in the governance that sits underneath it.
As programs mature toward agents that act on sensitive data, those foundations matter more. Technology, data, security and risk teams each have a part in getting them right.
This roundtable is a chance to reflect on the policies and processes that underpin our AI efforts. It looks at what successful rollouts have in common, and what to keep an eye on as we develop into agentic enterprises.
Held under Chatham House Rule. What's said in the room stays in the room
WHY THIS MATTERS NOW
AI adoption is running ahead of AI governance
New research from DataDriven, conducted with over 200 Australian technology decision-makers representing $1 trillion in revenue, shows how wide the gap has become. More than two-thirds now have AI in production or at scale.
Yet only one in five rate their AI governance as completely optimised. And 72% rate AI governance and responsible AI controls as significant challenges.
Key challenges driving the conversation:
Many organisations can't say with confidence what information they hold, where it lives and who, or what, can access it
Governance and controls designed for pilots are now being stretched across enterprise-wide programs
Agents need access to sensitive data to be useful, and that access is hard to grant without defined roles, limited permissions and an audit trail
Agentic decisions will need to be governed in a way a regulator would accept
WHAT THIS DISCUSSION WILL COVER
Four areas the room will work through together
1. Where we really stand
Whether Craig's findings echo what we're seeing in our own organisations, and where we each sit on the path to enterprise-wide agentic AI
2. Data readiness
Whether our information is governed and secured well enough for an agentic future
3. Governing agentic decisions
How we govern agentic decisioning in a way a regulator would accept
4. Trusted autonomy
What it would take to treat agents as identities, and how we grow trust, governance, context, security and accountability so they can operate responsibly
WHAT YOU’LL TAKE AWAY
Leave with more than notes
A clearer view of your readiness
How secure and ready your information is to support enterprise-wide agentic programs
A place to start
Where your organisation should focus first, and what has to be in place before agents are given more autonomy
A benchmark against your peers
How you're positioned against other Australian organisations, drawn from Craig's research and the room itself
A practical view of the five essentials
How secure information management supports trust, governance, context, security and accountability
WHO WILL BE IN THE ROOM
A curated group of senior technology, data, security and risk leaders
The value of this discussion comes from hearing how peers in different roles are approaching the same challenge. Successful AI programs rely on each of these teams, so each has a seat at the table.
Drawn from across Australia's largest and most complex organisations, including:
Technology & AI Leadership
CIO · Chief AI Officer · Head of AI Strategy
Data & Information
Chief Data Officer · Leaders responsible for data and information governance
Security & Risk
CISO · CRO · Leaders responsible for AI risk
Participants are selected to ensure a high-calibre, peer-level discussion, held under Chatham House Rule.
